Meet New Events Manager Cassie Albers

By Cassie Albers

My name is Cassie Albers, and I more than happy to have taken on the role of Events Manager here at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Planning events has always been a passion of mine, and I cannot wait to continue that passion as well as help so many families.

I am originally from Eden Prairie, Minnesota and spent my whole life there up until college. I then pursued a degree in Event Management from Iowa State University, and just graduated with my Bachelor of Science this past December! Throughout my four years of college, I was very involved in the community as well as in my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. I served as Education Vice President as well as our Chapter President. I was able to find my passion for events through planning events such as bid day (a day where all our new members get to run home to their sorority after recruitment), philanthropies, socials, formals, etc. I was also involved in “Up Til’ Dawn” as a recruitment captain which is an organization that raises money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

While looking for a full-time job this past spring, I came across this position and could not help but apply. The mission of the Ronald McDonald House is like no other, and I am so thankful to be a part of it. As soon, as I walked out of my interview, I knew this was where I wanted to be. A place that encourages, supports, and believes in every single person that walks through the front doors.

Throughout the next year, I will oversee Paint the Town Center Red, The Bake Sale, HULLABALOO!™ for the House, Breakfast with Santa, Christmas in July, certain community fundraisers, and our pop tab program! All these events are incredible, and I am so excited to work alongside members of the community in order to give back to so many families. I have always told myself that one day I will make a difference in this world and give back what it has given to me. Never did I think that would be possible right-out of college, but I am so lucky that it is possible, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
