Scott Rich, a marketing professional for some of Columbus’ most well-known companies, came to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House in 2021 and has loved his regular Thursday shift ever since.
The expansion of our House will allow more than 200 families of ill children to have a home near their child’s hospital room every night. That means many more volunteers will need to be added to the roster of hundreds of volunteers already scheduled regularly on our calendar. As we surveyed the construction of our two new wings behind the House, Scott shared with us his experience as a volunteer and tells us why there are so many ways you can make a difference in the lives of sick children.
Scott’s volunteerism for our RMHC chapter is now headed to the next level, joining the chapter’s Marketing and Communications Committee. Thanks, Scott, for your willingness to give a helping hand, sometimes literally “in the trenches,” and for lending your professional expertise to support our families.
