During the month of April, we’re spotlighting some of the hundreds of volunteers who help make our House a home. April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month, but it would take years of blog posts to recognize all of the heroes who give of their time to make sure our families are comfortable when they need to stay close to their children who are getting care from Columbus hospitals. Many employers will essentially pay a donation to RMHC on behalf of their employees that donate their time or money or both. The daughter of one of our longtime volunteers discovered this as she began to volunteer with her retired dad at the Ronald McDonald House. In the video below, she talks about how having her employer, Liberty Mutual, back her volunteering and paycheck deduction donations gives even more job satisfaction.
