Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio is showing the love for its McDonald’s Franchisees. In the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio market area, franchise owners/operators have been amazing partners with the Round-Up campaign. With this campaign, crews at the restaurants in these groups ask their customers to “Round-Up for RMHC.” When the customers agree, their total is rounded-up to the nearest dollar with the extra amount donated to the Central Ohio RMHC chapter. The diligence of crew members at 125 restaurants in this region allows RMHC of Central Ohio to keep 206 families close to their hospitalized children every night.
To have fun with a friendly competition, RMHC of Central Ohio had a one-day contest called “Show Your Love for RMHC” this past Valentine’s Day. The top 5 stores with the largest percentage of Round-Up transactions during the contest would be shown some love by RMHC of Central Ohio through various media spotlights.
One of the media used to show appreciation for these top McDonald’s restaurants is through a series of videos. For the first video, I talk to the teams at these winning restaurants while I tag along with the chapter’s point person on the Round-Up program, Lulani Gualberto. Lulani often delivers gift bags for the teams at these restaurants during monthly competitions. But with this special one-day competition to see which stores would get the highest number of Round-Ups, The teams received special gift bags from Lulani. In this first video of the series, Lulani and I visit the Beverly and McConnelsville restaurants where the Patula Organization operates both the first and second-place restaurants in the competition. The Beverly location took first place in the competition and the McConnelsville location, just about 15 miles away, took second place. Congratulations to the crews at these McDonald’s stores and all five top-achieving restaurants. Look for more videos to be posted soon on the RMHC of Central Ohio YouTube channel featuring the third and fourth-place winners.
