Latoya’s family stayed at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House in the early 1990s when she was only eight years old. Today, she is a volunteer at the same house and has become a regularly scheduled “Go-getter.” She did not inform her mother when she started giving her time back to the home-away-from-home that once provided shelter to her family. Latoya took her mother to the grand opening of the house’s expansion during our annual bake sale in November. She also shared a Christmas memory from the house that involved a stuffed animal that remains in the family today. Click the image below to watch them tell their story.
