Headliners Named for Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Fest Where RMHC is a Chosen Charity

By Rick Shepherd

Many people don’t know this about Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio CEO, Dee Anders. She shares a couple of things in common with famed Food Network food-taster, Guy Fieri! On Monday, the restauranteur and Emmy-award-winning TV show host appeared to have celebrated both of their birthdays on that day by taking to social media to announce the entertainment line-up for his previously announced Flavortown Festival in Columbus.

Fieri is bringing this event to Columbus, where both he and Dee grew up, coincidently. That may be the only things they have in common now, but one thing they will have in common this summer is that they will both be visiting the grounds of CAS where this festival will take place with food, fun, & music June 1 – 2. Dee will be there because RMHC of Central Ohio was invited to be a charity partner of the event, and the charity that keeps families close to their children in area hospitals will have a major presence at the two-day festival. RMHC along with two other area non-profit organizations will receive a portion of proceeds from ticket sales.

We here in Ohio may think Fieri’s festival is important with lots of local news coverage, but so does the entertainment industry. The news of Greta Van Fleet and Kane Brown as headliners for the festival made headlines in such leading entertainment news publications as Hollywood’s Variety.
