GUIDELINES FOR GUESTS

Guest Guidelines for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Huntington, Inc.

  1. One room (designed for two guests) per family, rollaway beds are available for additional guests.
  1. Keep the room clean during your stay (a vacuum is available to guests)
  2. Follow the Guest Check Out list when preparing to leave
  3. Be sure to clean the kitchen after use
  4. Pick up after children in the playroom
  1. Laundry detergent/cleaning supplies are available in the first floor laundry room.
  2. An ironing board is located in the laundry room for guest use.
  1. Food is permitted in rooms during COVID-19 as a precaution.
  2. Label food with your room number and current date. DO NOT use food with other room numbers on it.
  3. Coffee can be made in the kitchen at all times.
  4. The Coke machine uses both quarters and bills, and change is available in the main office.
  1. Smoking is only permitted on the 17th Street porch.
  2. Smoking porch door can only be opened from the outside with a key-fob or ID card.
  3. Please use the provided ashpot.
  4. To comply with Cabell Country regulations, please only smoke on the smoking porch.
  1. Telephones in rooms can be used for calling the hospital and making other calls.
  1. Only those with a key-fob or Lanyard ID card can enter the House.
  2. Do not admit anyone other than your own family members into the House.
  3. DO NOT go to the hospital alone at night. Hospital security is happy to escort you.
  4. DO NOT use side or back doors for leaving the House. These doors have alarms.
  1. Shuttle, provided from Cabell Huntington Hospital, will transport guests to and from the hospital.
  2. Avoid calling for a shuttle during peak hours (7:30 AM-9:00 AM and 3:00 PM-5:00 PM).
  3. Wait in front of the House for the shuttle to arrive.
  4. After shuttle hours, CHH security can be reached at 304-526-2223.
  5. Transportation is only available to Cabell Huntington Hospital
  1. Between 9:00 AM- 9:00PM, if problems arise, please come to the main office.
  2. After the office closes, come to the night manager’s door downstairs and ring the doorbell.
  3. On weekends, the manager is available in the Day Room.
  1. Hairdryers, curling irons, umbrellas, etc. are available for use in the front office.
  2. Videos are available for check out during office hours and must be returned before you leave.
  3. No weapons, alcohol or illegal drugs are allowed in the House or on the grounds.
