The Columbus Public Safety Officers, in connection with the Columbus Police Basketball Bulldogs, are hosting the Second Annual RMHC First Responders Basketball Tournament, at the Columbus Fire Academy, to raise money for the families needing to use the services of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. We’ll host up to 5 basketball games involving up to ten public safety teams.
The event will be family-friendly with a bouncy house, face painting, and other fun activities for the kids. Additionally, Columbus Police & Fire Departments will have recruiting tables for those who want to apply, and other city and county recruiters may be present. RMHC will also have a table to further explain their mission and provide resources about volunteer and involvement opportunities.
The final game will be between the Columbus Police Department and Columbus Fire Department at 1:00 p.m., and a food truck will be onsite to provide lunch options.
All money raised from the event will go directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio to support their mission of keeping families close to their hospitalized children.
