RMHC of Central Ohio vs. RMHC of Ann Arbor
The RMHC Annual Pop Tab Battle is a friendly competition to see which House can collect the most pop tabs, between the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio and the Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor. Help us beat the Team Up North by collecting pop tabs for the undefeated Columbus Ronald McDonald House and dropping them off to the House between November 1st and November 30th (before the big game starts at Noon)!
It’s not just an urban myth; Ronald McDonald House chapters really do collect the aluminum pop tabs from cans. Different Houses collect tabs for different purposes, but the Columbus Ronald McDonald House uses the money made from the pop tabs to pay our electric bill. We are able to generate thousands of dollars from our pop tab collection program every year and that helps us keep the lights on! That’s important for our House, which is open 24 hours/day, 365 days a year.
The Pop Tab Program wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support of children and adults who faithfully collect the tabs. It’s an easy way to do something good and make a difference in the life of a seriously ill child and there, and it’s free! Why not get your school, workplace or community organization to collect them with you? It is the perfect time of year to start collecting with so many football parties, school gatherings, and other events where there might be pop tabs to collect.
